About me

Hi! thanks for visiting my blog. 

My name is Charlie, I have been travelling now for around 4 years. In that time I have been to 16 countries. Mostly Europe as I don’t travel full time (yet), and living in the UK, Europe is just more convenient. I work full time and travel on my holiday days. 

Some of my favourite adventures have been:

  • volunteering at a dog shelter in Cusco, Peru. 
  • going to the Christmas markets around Europe
  • Spending 2 weeks in the countryside in the Netherlands

I created this blog as a way of sharing my experiences with the world as well as just having my own little corner of the internet with all our memories to look back on in years to come. 

I am a huge book worm, both fiction and non-fiction. I will almost certainly be posting some book recommendations here and there so stay tuned for that. 

My biggest bucket list goal is to go to all 7 wonders of the world, both the original and the new. 

I have a fiancé named Dave who is my travel partner, we go to some really amazing places so stick around if you want to join the chaos and see what we get up to next!

About Dave

I was working in a coffee shop in June 2024 when my parents’ friend asked them if I would be available to help out at their pub as their son had injured his hand on broken glass, had to have surgery and was out of action for a few weeks. I said yes and well, meet their son. Dave. 

August 2024, he asked me to be his girlfriend and in August 2025, he asked me to marry him outside the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This may seem cliché but honestly, it was a childhood dream come true for me. 

Even before we got together, we both had said how much we love to travel and since being together, we have not stopped. We are always planning our next trip. 

Dave is very similar to me in the fact that we are both major foodies and I think that’s one of our favourite parts about travelling, trying different foods everywhere we go. He is very smart, goofy and loves a good book just as much as I do. 

He loves the outdoors and is always up for any adventure. We have been travelling together since March 2025 and have no plans to stop any time soon!
